Lugdunum Batavorum. M. DCC. XLIII. , [1743.] . 1743 12mo. xvi, 344 p. Engraved frontis., engraved head and tailpieces. Part titles to each author. Contemporary maroon morocco with slight rubbing to edges and corners and a small piece removed from the foot of the spine. The spine gilt in panels between raised bands, the boards panelled with a triple line roll. Still a pretty copy, with the leather book label of Edward Vernon Utterson the noted 19th century collector and a founder member of the Roxburghe Club. The first sale of Utterson's library took place 19-27 April 1852, with a second sale in 1857 after his death. Pencil notes on the rear endpaper relating to its purchase 20/4/52 at Utterson's sale and again in Aug 1859 at Libri's sale.
