Brunswick, GA: Reagin Publishing Company, 2000. First Edition. . Hardcover. Fine/None Issued. F/0/1st. Ed. /Signed. It has been more than forty years since the last compilation of the cemetery records of McIntosh County was issued. The Cemetery Records of McIntosh County, Georgia, compiled in 1958 by Mrs. Evie White, unfortunately has proved to be only of marginal use as a reference for genealogists and other researches, as it does not include all of the white cemeteries of the county, nor does it include any of the African-American cemeteries. With the completion of the present study, compiled and published under the auspices of the Lower Altamaha Historical Society, McIntosh County now has its most comprehensive collection of cemetery records to date. The present effort includes all McIntosh County cemeteries, black and white, with recorded burials dating from colonial times to the present. Book Condition is Fine; green buckram over boards with gold lettering to front and spine. 393pp. First Edition. Public, church and family cemeteries. Map, cemetery lay-out illustrations. List of Deaths in McIntosh County, Georgia, 1801-1936- Burial Place Unknown, bibliography and sources, alphabetical index. Clean, unmarked, with a tight binding. No wear to cover, no soiling, and sharp corners. Signed by Editor and committe members, and also by Buddy Sullivan, who wrote the preface. Excellent, pristine copy.

Homeland, Georgia: Self Published, 2006. Hardcover. Very Good+/Very Good +. VG+/VG+/ Pre Published. This is a copy of a book in progress, Mr. Crews was planning to publish a book later. Unfortunately he died at 83 years old in 2012. The large paperback with a spiral binding, introduces the beginning of the 1906 Colony Company and Homeland Georgia. Many of the early residents went on to become the leading citizens of Homeland. Also churches, city council members, business owners, local families. There are some illustrations, and quite a few photos. A very important addition to the local history of Homeland, located in Charlton County Georgia. I could find no other copy offered, even the local library. Clean inside and out, obviously handled, but with care, and is now in a acid free document bag.

Descripción:
Athens GA: University of Georgia Press, 1997. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Good/Near Fine. VG/NF/Signed/1st ed. A scarce publication. This copy is a retired reference copy from a public library. The book has a previous owner's name at the top of the half title page, and also the date bought, the amount paid and donated to a local public library is written in the gutters of the book. I found no other markings; and the pages are clean and white and the corners are sharp. The heel and head of both panels have lost some color, but no breaks to the cloth. The binding is tight. The dust jacket has a small nick at the top of the spine. Color on jacket is excellent, and jacket is now covered with a mylar sleeve. Inscribed and signed on the title page. 592pp., illustrations, afterword, notes, index. Comes to you in an acid free document bag for storage, mailed boxed, and I can have it in the mail tomorrow. This book is in good condition. There is some wear on the front, back, spine, edges and corner of the cover. There is some dog-earring on the right corner pages of the book. The pages are white, crisp and clear of any markings. "This is a history of the visual arts produced in the geographical area that now constitutes the United States. Such a book is difficult to title. A History of United States Art sounds awkward and logically might even be construed to exclude the arts of the colonial period. Thus, with apologies to our northern and southern neighbors, I use the title A History of American Art, knowing full well that the terms America and the United States are not synonymous...." - Preface from A History of American Art

Indianapolis: Dog Ear Publishing, January 2013. Trade Paperback. Fine. Slight reading wear to corners, otherwise pristine. Not from a library. No remainder mark. Not clipped. Not damaged. Suitable for gifting. 163 pages. The 25 authors of this book were volunteers in the first Peace Corps rural community development project in Africa: Sierra Leone, 1965-67. They are also the first group to tell a collective story of Peace Corps volunteers, anywhere. The Peace Corps was in its infancy then, and memories of John Kennedy were strong among the young volunteers. Sierra Leone was also in its infancy in the first few years after independence, before military coups and tribal warfare became common. The authors forthrightly recount their feelings of loneliness and isolation, and their frightening experiences with secret societies and witchcraft, but their uniquely optimistic "can-do" American attitude brought most through a great life experience.
