Clean except for some inky fingerprints on the front free endpaper and modest foxing on the foreedge of the page block; full cloth cover shows only mild softening and edgewear at the spine heel; jacket bears some offsetting across the rear, lines of surface scuffing along spine sides and foreedges and some additional surface wear across the front, and a few very small edge tears, but is otherwise sound, now protected in a clear sleeve. 549pp. b/w illus.; 4to.
