Blue, gilt-embossed publishers blue cloth. Top edge gilt. xix, 228 pp +10 pp appendices. Illustrated with numerous engravings within the text. An extremely early study. Uses an old-fashioned typeface with f-like s letters in the middle of words. Although the condition is somewhat less than perfect, still this books can be difficult to locate. Please note that this is an original printed copy, and not an e-book, facsimile paperback, or print-on-demand title.
