This book tells it like it was, and still is, in the north country. William Byron Mowery is the expert when it comes to these kinds of tales of adventure and romance and conservation of the wild places. You will enjoy this one. They don't write them like this anymore. Sure wish they did. I've had my copy for 40 years.
