New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1905. xviii, 329 pages. On the verso of the frontispiece is an INK DRAWING OF A WOMAN BY HOWARD PYLE. Pyle inscribed the book (and the drawing) to Esther Harrison Rowland (1881-1919), a prominent young Radnor, Pennsylvania socialite.
