The new edition of this work in a full calf binding with gilt detailing to the spine, and marbled end papers and edges.Bookplate to the first blank. Samuel Smiles (1812-1904) was a British author and government reformer, best known for his book 'Self help'. This book followed the success of this first work, and aimed to educate the reader on topics such as morality and self-discipline. In a full calf binding. Externally smart, with a small faint mark to the spine and a little rubbing to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for the odd spot to the first and last few pages. Very Good Indeed

Our library has something for every interest and specialism. We deliver worldwide using a fully tracked and insured courier delivery service.
Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
