Hardcover, bound in red cloth titled in gilt on the spine and in blind on the front cover, in a color pictorial dust wrapper. The dust jacket is slightly rubbed with a couple of small scratches to the bottom of the jacket's rear panel. 240 pages, profusely illustrated in black & white and color throughout. Near fine in a very good dust wrapper.
First edition. Published in conjunction with the exhibitions at the Whitney Museum of American Arts, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Columbus Museum of Art, Ohio and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
