New York: Harper and Brothers, 1870. Original Wraps. Good. Original wraps. Early printing, with ads in the rear dated September 1870. With illustrations and facsimiles. 110 pages plus 4 pages of ads in the rear. A biography of Dickens published almost immediately after his death. In GOOD condition. Moderate to heavy darkening to the wraps with some soiling and a few stray pencil marks. Two small spots of dark soiling along the front fore edge. Heavy chipping along the upper cover and first few pages. Minor tearing and chipping along the rest of the extremities, with some creasing. Diagonal piece of upper rear corner missing. Interior solid with very minor scattered soiling and general darkening.
