Sobre este artículo
New York: George Routledge and Sons, n.y.. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Brown cloth with extensive black and gilt pictorial and decorative stamping. xii, 604pp. Frontispiece, decorative endpapers. Very good. Mildest bit of edgewear (mainly at head and tail of spine), else clean, tight and quite handleable. Lever's Preface to this "New Edition" is dated Trieste 1872, the same year he died in his villa there, thus this undated edition likely dates from shortly thereafter. Lever (1806-72) was an incredibly popular Irish novelist whose popularity rivaled that of Dickens, Thackeray and other giants of his day.
