[xii], 162 pp. Red cloth with gilt lettering on spine, mustard endpapers. Fine in Very Good dust jacket. Clean, bright pages with no inscriptions or marks, etc. Jacket price-clipped, lightly foxed, chipped along top of back panel and on bottom of front panel, rubbed with light wear from being used as a surface to write on. The first appearance of the beloved kids' book about gluttony and punishment that formed the basis of two films.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (1964) is a children's book by British author Roald Dahl. The story features the adventures of young Charlie Bucket inside the chocolate factory of eccentric candymaker Willy Wonka. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was first published in the United States by Alfred A. Knopf, Inc. in 1964, and in the United Kingdom by George Allen & Unwin in 1967.
