New York: Harper's Weekly, 1857. First Edition . Disbound. Near Fine. Near fine in wrappers. Disbound, complete and original issue with light wear to spine, remarkably nearly new appearance. Wonderfully detailed map, "A Chart, In Relief, of British India" covers pp. 680-681 along with article, "A History of the East India Country." Chapters XI and XII of Bulwer Lytton's serialized novel. Also, article on "The Late G.W.P. Custis" (Stepson of George Washington) with separate portraits of him and George and Martha Wshington and drawing of Washington's bed as well as Arlington House, Custis's residence (pp. 684-685). Also, Chapters XI and XII of Bulwer Lytton's serialized novel (pp. 682-683) and article about,with large illustration of, Sreenath alias Nena Sahib, murderer of the Egnliah at Canspore (p. 677).
