New Zealand: Simpson and Williams Limited, 1952. Informative book on the plants and birds of ther Chatham Islands in the year 1900 and the details of the people that lived there at the time and the history of the early settlers. 177 pages in overall bright clean condition just some browning to endpapers and last couple of blank pages, top right corner of front blank endpaper has been clipped at 45 degrees, Many B/w photographs and illustrations plus very informative text. Outer boards are a little faded to spine and small patch to top rear, dustwrapper is bright with a little dustiness from age some wear along edges and a couple of small tears, small old selotape mark to inner front flap. Only date inside is 1952 possibly first edition but cannot be sure. Some loose newspaer clippings about Maoris and a couple of letters from someone researching Maoris all dated 1956. A pleasing example of this book SEE IMAGE. DETAILED IMAGES AVAILABLE ON REQUEST. Boards. Good Plus/Good. 8 ¾ x 5¾ Inches. Hardcover.
