Sobre este artículo

An offprint from The William and Mary Quarterly (Vol. XXXVII, January 1980.) Signed by the author for Rhode Island bookseller Samuel J. Hough. A provocative essay by a professor of African and Afro-American Studies at the State University College at Brockport, NY. Based on pamphlets of the period, he argues that white colonists under English rule believed their situation "bore a striking resemblance to that of the black slaves in their midst" -– and their outrage "stemmed from their conviction that only black people in America were deserving of servile status." Staple-bound 8vo. (3)-28 pp. VG with some browning/foxing of the cover page, creasing of the last page. Scarce. No copies shown by WorldCat.
