Toronto: The Ryerson Press. Very Good-. Hardcover. 316 p. 28 cm. Sound and square binding, with cloth-backed spine and paper-covered boards. Heavy wear to the bottom edges and corners, less so to the other edges. Upper board illustration shows some scratches and rubbing. Lower board has some light soil. Gift inscription on the title page dated 1933. Inside pages are clean and unmarked overall, with one corner crease, a few minor soil spots, and some light toning to all pages. A British children's annual, published for sale in Canada by Ryerson Press. The Chatterbox is one of the longest published children's annuals, whose content was basically reprints of its weekly issues of fiction, poetry, puzzles, etc. This annual has 8 colour plates after work by various artists - not all of them signed. The one I really like is of a female golfer by Norah Shargool. May require extra postage due to weight of the book. .
