Light crease and a 1/4-inch hole (not affecting printing) on pp. 23-24 and associated abrasion tot he upper margin of the next leaf of mounted photographs (just touching the top of one photograph); otherwise a lovely copy with only a few of the photographs a bit faded--much less so than usually seen--and light rubbing to the cloth at extremities. . Tall 8vo,. Illustrated with 33 original photographs taken during the trip by R. D. Cleveland, and wood cuts from sketches by the author, and a folding map. Signed and inscribed by the author to the photographer on the front free endpaper, February 24th 1883. The photographs depict scenes in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Mexico.
