Used A bibliography of Fantasy, Weird, and Science Fiction books published in the English language. This is a first edition, first printing of this landmark reference work. Only 1933 copies of this book were printed and bound. Protective mylar wraper around boards. Gold stamping has completely worn off spine. small tear to cloth at bottom edge of spine cloth. Previous owner has placed some small discrete checkmarks nest to some works. Blue ink and pencil checks... averaging about 1 every 10 pages or so. Binding is tight and square. Previous owner (Hope and Norman Hope... a charitable foundation based in NY) book plate pasted to front free endpaper.

THE CHECKLIST OF FANTASTIC LITERATURE, Shasta, 1948, first edition (second printing), a tight vg+ copy in a vg Hannes Bok dust-wrapper save for some staining from lifted off lamination, mostly, but not exclusively, to the dust-wrapper flaps. The first book of the press as well as the pioneer volume, and a literal bible, for the first collectors of the genre.

Dust jacket design by Hannes Bok. Dust jacket has some edge and corner wear, 1/8" chip along top of spine, 1/2" by 1/4" chip on rear panel, 1/4" chip in middle of spine. Edge of title page has two minor 1/2" tears and one small 1/4" chip. Overall in solid, very good condition with no former owner's names or marks.
