Dark blue boards w blindstamp figure to front cover, bronze lettering to spine. Bumping to tail, no edgewear. Binding square and sound. Photo illustrated DJ is clean, however previous owner has neatly trimmed top and bottom edges w masking tape (3/8") to guard against edgewear and reinforced backside of the spine and fore edges the same (not visible). DJ preserved in new BroDart cover. Quarto. Originally published as two volumes: Chesapeake Bay Log Canoes (1937) and Chesapeake Bay Bugeyes (1941), both by The Mariners Museum, this is the revised and enlarged one-volume edition (1963), stated. Provides accurate description of the hulls, rigging, fittings, and specialized equipment used on the various craft.
