NEAR AS NEW - just a little bumping to the top front spine edge, and slightly 'pushed' to the bottom edge of the spine - NO damage. Internally FINE - NO Inscriptions or Marks. NO Date - but the ** former owner has written the date '2008' in pencil under the publisher's details. A History of Chess in Wales, based mainly on regular chess columns that the writer managed to unearth. Contents: Chapter 1: Introduction... Chapter 2: South Wales Chess Assocation ... Chapter 3: Welsh Chess Union... Chapter 4: West Wales... Chapter 5: Monmouthshire Chapter... 6: East Glamorgan... Chapter 7: Mid Wales Chapter... 8: North Wales... "A History of Welsh Chess from the past to Modern times. Many b/w photo illustrations, club information, players information and results." . ** The former owner was the late John Bradley, Irish Archaeologist, Scholar, Medievalist, Author and more, and member of Kilkenny Chess Club. He was on the team that won the Armstrong Cup in 2011 and represented Ireland at two European finals, etc. So although the book is undated, his date in pencil, as noted above, is likely to be accurate for the First Edition.
