The Century Co. Printed at the De Vinne Press, 1892. Trade Paperback. 185 pages. BAL 6462. Originally published under name Stanton Page, a pseudonym for Fuller. The author's first book. Henry Fuller was the first writer from Chicago to gain a national reputation. Later in life he was 'perhaps the earliest established writer to explore homosexuality in literarure.' - from Wikipedia. In 2000 he was posthumously inducted into the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame. Fourth edition, revised. Inscribed by the author on front free endpaper: '-'Italia! Italia!'...'that delightful land whose beauty age cannot wither and whose infinite variety custom cannot stale.' For Katherine Hoover From Henry B. Fuller. December, 1902.' A very good copy in blue cloth with bright gilt decorations and lettering on front cover and spine. Edge and corner wear with spine ends frayed. No dust jacket.
