Hardcover has green cloth-covered boards with blind-stamped ruled borders and gilt spine lettering and decoration. Spine has title within illustration of a banner on a lance, with a plumed hat and a sword. Series title: 'Legends of Love and Chivalry'. Binding cracked at title page; webbing visible, but pages not loose. Binding cracked near center. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with rubbing and fraying at tips; boards visible. Spine ends bumped and worn. Fabric at head of spine torn at back hinge less than an inch. Covers rubbed; cloth has some ripples. Back cover has some small stains. Gift inscription on front free endpaper. This volume was a gift to Hinkley Hall, and the lettering "H H Hall" is neatly written on the fore edge of the pages. NO highlighting or other markings. All pages lightly foxed; all text still easily readable. 399 pages + 8 pages publisher's advertisements. No dust jacket. Contents: Sir Hugues de Coucy - Eustache de St. Pierre - The fortunes of the Maid of Arc - Hamilton of Bothwelhaugh -Ahsahgunushk Numamahtahseng. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
