Quarter black imitation leather over emerald green paper-covered boards with gilt particulars in two compartments to spine and author's name debossed in gilt to front board. Pages and photographs are clean and unmarked. Text block is sunned, fore edge is deckled, and top edge might have once been sprayed yellow but is faded; light shelf wear to all edges. Endpages have soiling to edges, soiling to front inner hinge, and previous owner's bookplate to first free endpaper. Covers are clean and bright with bumping to corners, lower edge and ends of spine. Chipping to lower corners and top corner of front cover. Binding is tight and square. Dust jacket has scuffing and rubbing to covers, and light chipping, creasing and rubbing to extremities. Dust jacket is covered in a protective mylar jacket.
