A novel of Polish life, translated from the Polish by Jeremiah Curtin. A few light white stains to front boards, but overall tight and bright copy. Henryk Adam Aleksander Pius Sienkiewicz, also known by the pseudonym Litwos, was a Polish journalist, novelist and Nobel Prize laureate.
