Soundly bound in original burgundy cloth with titles brightly in gilt to cover and spine and a pictorial panel on paper mounted to cover. Tissue guard for frontis portrait of Mozart is missing. Illustrated with b&w portraits on glossy stock and examples of musical notation. Mild crimping to cloth at spine ends and superficial shelf rubbing at extremities. VG- .

Edge wear and bumping. Notes/underlining. Front & back hinges . cracked. Ex-library with usual markings.. 1909. Hardcover. Burgundy cover with gilt lettering and print of a portrait of Mozart as a child. Ex-library markings on spine & pages throughout, shelfwear, corners bumped, page tanning consistent with age. Some underlining and margin notes but very readable. Spine slanted and 1 loose page with image of Bach on one side. ; 243 pages .

Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Slight foxing front/rear pages, but body of book mostly clean and unfoxed. Minor water damage to covers and text. Burgundy gilt stamped cloth over boards with paste down illustration on front cover of Mozart as a child, frontis with tissue of Mozart as a child, 243 pages, in addition to the frontis there are 11 black-and-white plates of composers (Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Liszt, Strauss, Schubert, Grieg, Wagner), XXVII figures in the text (musical notations). Corners and spine ends lightly worn, damp stain on front cover has caused bleeding onto paste down on front cover and on front and back end papers.
