This book examines a fateful period when Roosevelt's wrong decisions (swayed by Madame Chiang Kai-shek) combined with Stalin's geostrategic ambitions and Mao's ideological inclinations sealed the fate of the Cold War in Asia for a quarter Century- with enduring consequences for the Sino-American antagonisms to this day.
