Sobre este artículo
London: George G. Harrap & Co. Ltd, 1938. Cloth. Good. 8.5" by 5.5". Kurt Wiese. A scarce copy of this illustrated novel following a young boy who moves to China. Scarce work. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, three colour plates, and ten full-page images, as well as many in-text sketches. Collated complete. When a young boy is fired with enthusiasm for the country of China after watching a speaker at school, he is thrilled to learn his father is being sent there on business. He willingly abandons his plans for aviation and enters his Chinese venture. Written by Elizabeth Foreman Lewis, an American children's writer. Illustrated by Kurt Wiese, a German-born book illustrator. In the original black cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities. Light fading to the spine and the odd mark to the boards. A split in the cloth to the rear joint. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot and light spotting to the endpapers. Library stamps to the endpapers and title page. Good
