Sobre este artículo
1915. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. Chinese Pottery and Porcelain: An Account Of The Potter's Art In China From Primitive Times To The Present Day. Two volumes. London: Cassell, 1915. First edition. Limited to 1,500 copies, this being numbered 104. Original cream cloth embossed and lettered gilt, top edges gilt, in the original dust-wrappers. Forty plates in colour, ninety-six in black and white. Near fine in the dust-wrappers (small brown spots, presumably foxing, to the very foot of the spines; wrappers slightly tanned to spines and with a few short closed tears held to the verso with archival tissue tape; three small spots to the spine of volume 2, similar to those on the cloth). Accompanied by a letter dated 11th November, 1963 from The Ceramic Book Company of Newport, offering this set, described as fine and clean, to a Mrs. Eggars of Seattle for $125. The small blindstamp of 'H.E. Eggars, M.D.' is present to pages 50/51 of each volume. A superb set of this classic work, rare in the dust-wrappers.
