The interior of the book is clean and unmarked, with no signatures and very few signs of previous use.. The brown cloth covers are fresh, with light rubs at edges and corners, and shallow bumps to the top and bottom of the spine. The dust jacket is price-clipped, and has moderate edge wear overall, again with heavier wear and chips of paper missing from the top and bottom of the spine. The attached scan should give a better idea of condition. This is the second of Mayne's "Choir School" quartet. Synopsis: "Peter Sandwell rebels against being expected to conform to the rules and customs of the school, and so is sent to Coventry by the other boys. This is uncomfortable and he soon realizes that unless he wants to be completely ignored by them for the rest of the term, he will have to pull his weight in the school, particularly in doing his best to be upgraded to the higher rank of chorister. Preparation for a bonfire for the school's Guy Fawkes' Day also take their part and Sandy emerges accepted again ...
