Ex-Library copy with the usual markings, xvi+ 522pp plus 24 pages of publisher's adverts dated March 1859. Inner hinges taped, scattered foxing but text block is generally clean, 22.5 x 14cm. "It is my design that this volume shall contain a popular sketch of the progress of Christianity in India; more especially as it has been affected by the efforts of the Protestant Church and the measures of the British Government.
