A collection of Christmas cards sent by foreign royal families to Margaret Thatcher. Comprising the cards of: i) Taufa'ahau Tupou IV, King of Tonga (reigned 1965-2005), 1985. With Tonga's coat of arms on the front cover and the signature of himself and his wife Halaevalu Mata'aho 'Ahome'e on the interior, below the printed message "With all Good Wishes for a Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year", facing a pasted photograph of the Lupepau'u Airport extension. Thatcher met the Tongan King at the Foreign Office in 1983. ii) Jean, Grand Duke of Luxembourg (reigned 1964-2000), 1988. With a pasted family photograph on the front cover and the signature of himself and his wife Princess Joséphine Charlotte of Belgium on the interior, below a printed celebratory message in French, with 1988 written by hand underneath. iii) Jean, Grand Duke of Luxembourg (reigned 1964-2000), 1991.
