Hardcover. 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 25 pages; 1943 Charles Scribner's Sons HC Early printing with 1943 on title page but without the "A" on the copyright. Soundly bound and clean in original oatmeal colored paper covered boards lettered in red to cover and spine. Mild toning in the gutters of the coated green endpages. Charmingly illustrated with color designs by Flavia Gag. One of her illustrations on page 19 has been covered over with a glossy color illustration of Santa and his sleigh. Aside from this addition the book is bright and neat. Graded down for the illustration added on one page. G++ .
