First UK edition of A Chronicle of the Conquest of Granada from the MSS. of Fray Antonio Agapida by Washington Irving.In full calf bindings. An extensive history of the Grenada War of the fifteenth century. Irving was an American essayist, short story writer and historian. Prior owner's book plate to the front pastedown of Volume I. From the library of Robert Johnson Eden Bart. In full calf bindings. Externally, smart. Three of the spine labels of the set are detached and inserted to the book. There is some bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and to the extremities. There is some wear to the leather on the spine. The front hinge of Volume I is starting but firm. Prior owner's book plate to the front pastedown of Volume I. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some occasional spotting. Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
