Moderate tanning to pages with heavier tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Pencil inscriptions to front endpaper and front hinge is cracked with exposed netting and cracks to guttering with exposed netting. Binding is loose. Boards have visible rubbing and moderate bumping to corners. Fair crushing to spine ends and visible rubbing to spine.

Pages crisp and clean except for a prior owner's stamp at the front free endpaper; square, tight binding; hard cover shows only light fading at the head edges and a little rubbing at spine ends, otherwise excellent. Jacket shows handling prints front and back, a grayish line along the front foreedge, light surface scuffs at the spine, and some shelf wear at spine ends and corners, but is overall sound and now protected in a clear sleeve. 349pp. w/index.

Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Plates are clean with minor thumbing and foxing. Text block edges are rather foxed with minor scratches. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Gilt is bright. Unclipped jacket has moderate edgewear with chips, one closed tear to rear, and creasing. Slight bubbling to lamination. Jacket is slightly rubbed overall.
