Handsome production. In 1951 the Francoist film company CIFESA produced this massive and expensive version of the discovery of America by Columbus in part as a reply to the British version of 1949 which portrayed the explorer's weaknesses and failures as well as his triumphs.Gorgeous, detailed production values on the film and the booklet.
