Grosset & Dunlap. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Vintage Hardcover with DJ, Reprint 1930 Grossett & Dunlap 388 pages. Very Good, in a VG DJ. Minor shelf/edge wear to orange cloth boards with black titles - corners lightly bumped. Minor shelf/edge wear , dust soiling and minor chipping to original DJ - now in mylar. Rear of DJ mentions the RKO film starring Richard Dix. No previous owner markings - all pages are clean and unmarked. Novel by Edna Ferber, published in 1929 and based on development in Oklahoma after the Land Rush. The book was adapted into a critically acclaimed film of the same name in 1931 through RKO Pictures. In 1960, the story was again adapted for the screen by MGM starring Glenn Ford. Very handsome copy in DJ.LOC SSS-02
Sinopsis
Edna Ferber was an American novelist, short story writer and playwright. Her bestselling novels were especially popular and included the Pulitzer Prize-winning So Big , Show Boat , Giant , and Cimarron , which was made into the 1931 film that won the Academy Award for Best Picture. She died in 1968.
