Toronto: Anansi, 1972. Revised edition. Signed by Dennis Lee, and dated Ottawa 15/9/01. Lee won the Governor General's Award for poetry in 1968, for his earlier published version, "Civil Elegies", also published by Anansi. The book offered here is an expanded and revised edition, with two futher elegies, and has some re-ordering and re-titling to the elegies found in the earlier publication. In "Dennis Lee at Mid-Career [Descant Editions, 1982], it is suggested that the edition consisted of only 351 copies, with no breakdown given as to the number of paper and casebound issues.
