Venice, Bonetus Locatellus for Octavianus Scotus, Klendas [sic] Martias [18 Feb.], 1489.. 1489. 4to in 8s, approximately 280 x 210 mm, 11 x 8 inches, 2 line printed title to first and last pages, woodcut to verso of first title page, A1, divided in to 2 scenes, portrait of Saint Augustine writing at his desk and an Old Testament scene, 264 leaves, collation: A-R8, s6, t-z8, [ ]8 [ ]8 [ ]8, AA-EE8, FF-HH6. Double columns, 51 lines of text, 65 lines of commentary to a page, black letter, printer's device on last page of Registrum, woodcut has some red highlights, signatures A-R4 have rubrication, leather spine with gilt lettered black label, gilt decoration to spine, paper covered boards. Spine slightly rubbed, boards have some pale spotting and shelf-wear to edges, 3 leaves have heavy browning but all text legible, 1 has small tear in the text with no loss, a few other leaves have some pale brown staining, pale damp staining and spotting to margins, worming, mostly minor, from first title page through to the end mostly hitting letters but not always, 5 holes at the start and reducing gradually, mostly small size but on 26 leaves slightly larger, some occasional old neat ink marginalia, a few small neat repairs to first title page, otherwise a very good copy. A Dominican friar and writer, Remigio Nannini produced religious as well as secular works, and poetry. Nannini published "two collections of orations drawn by historians (the first, Military Orations collected by all the ancient and modern historians, Venice, 1557)" [Cantimori, Delio. Italian Encyclopedia, 1934]. Nannini also went on to publish the works of St. Thomas Aquinas (1570) at the request of Pope Pius the V.

A Dominican friar and writer, Remigio Nannini produced religious as well as secular works, and poetry. Nannini published "two collections of orations drawn by historians (the first, Military Orations collected by all the ancient and modern historians, Venice, 1557)" [Cantimori, Delio. Italian Encyclopedia, 1934]. Nannini also went on to publish the works of St. Thomas Aquinas (1570) at the request of Pope Pius the V.
