Full leather with 6" vignette in gold of C.M. Russell on front cover, [2], 29 pp., foreword, introduction, illustrated. Introduction by F.G. Renner. Foreword and text by R.D. Warden. Russell's sketchbook while enrolled for one semester at the military school in Burlington, New Jersey in 1880 at the age of 15. Jeff Dykes states in his review of the work, "This is an important addition to the published record of the life and work of the cowboy artist. Strongly recommended." As new in original mailing carton.
