At the beginning of the text are two maps showing the area described within the book and eight pages of black-and-white photography between pages 132 and 133. Aqua coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper (wraparound), with yellow and white colour titles to the front panel and backstrip. Black and white photograph of authors to the rear fold over panel. The true story of the authors, who, when they found themselves in the Indian port of Cochin after their yacht was damaged at sea. In exchange for a new steering equipment, they agreed to supervise work on and other man's yacht. This man's name was Jim Howard  an outwardly jovial (but domineering) man, whose personae became more and more dubious. The authors finally realised that Jim Howard was running large amounts of drugs out of Cochin, and they risked their lives on more than one occasion to bring him to justice.
