Cochran ( 1872-1951) , who " virtually invented revue before the First World War" and went on to work in cabaret and English theatre, the latter especially with Noel Coward. He staged a wide range of entertainments from rodeos to the Ballet Russes, and launched the careers of several female stars such as Anna Neagle and Jessie Matthews.. Hard Cover. Good/Good.
