Sobre este artículo
New York: Farrar, Straus & Giroux. 1982 advance uncorrected proof. 116pp. paperback sm 4to: Good [blue cover paper is faded & darkened; publisher’s info taped inside front cover; top & fore edges are age darkened; else a clean, complete & tight copy] In 1980 the Belgian-born writer Marguerite Yourcenar (1903-87) became the first woman elected to the Academie Francaise. This novel was first written in 1934 and completely revised by the author in the 1950s. Broadly speaking, it is about a plot to assassinate Mussolini and as such is said to be the first literary work from France to confront the reality of Fascism.
