Paris: Au Moulin de Pen Mur, 1946. One of 100 numbered copies on pur chiffon du Moulin de Pen Mur, laid paper (Watermark: paraphe), from a total edition of 2350. Handsomely bound in 3/4 red morocco and pastepaper boards, spine paneled, decorated with floral inlays, title gilt, top edge gilt, matching slipcase, original covers bound in, near fine. COLAS BREUGNON by Romain Rolland (1868-1944) was published first in 1919. Illustrated by Andre Collot with frontispiece in color and four woodengravings hors-texte that are handcolored and 22 in-texte, including headpieces and culs-de-lampe printed in black. In addition, this copy has the publisher's prospectus bound in after the extra suite.
