Sobre este artículo
New York: Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 1987. NF/NF. First Edition. Stated First printing. The book is tight and square with solid hinges and binding, good tips, clean unmarred boards, and bright spine lettering. The textblock has wear to front endpaper from sticker removal, else clean with no writing, bookplate or markings and not BCE, ex-library or remaindered. The dust jacket is unclipped ($25.00) with light rubbing, and toning to upper flaps. Protected in a new Brodart Mylar cover.
This omnibus, which the New York Times called Lowell's "most winning book", provides an opportunity to view Robert Lowell as a writer of prose, rather than a renowned poet or troubled man. Edited and introduced by Robert Giroux, Lowell's longtime editor and friend, "Collected Prose" ranges chronologically from a student paper composed in 1935 to the unfinished essay, "New England and Further", on which he was working when he died in 1977. It is a fascinating compendium of the ideas, arguments, and opinions of one of our most important poets.
