VG, ex library -- stamps/markings on title page and several other pags, small stamps on each print (to prevent theft/misuse). Binding strong and tight, pages clean and straight save for a one-inch and decreasing tear at edge of first 34 pp. and minor signs of use.. Brown buckram with gilt titles on spine; [4] [xxv] [258] pp; 129 engravings on 117 plates, with plain paper guard sheets. No frontispiece, engraved section page. Folio, heavy. A complete set of prints in this very scarce publication. Some works mounted, some engraved directly, 16 prints of Niello, 13 of which also appear printed in black onto a prepared silvered ground.
