Dark brown blindstamped cloth, the spine with six simulated raised bands, bright gilt lettering and volume number on the second panel thus formed. 447 pages; retains, in excellent condition, the fold-out maps of Blue Point and Black Point, tipped-on gutter of Title Page. Ex-Bangor Theological Seminary, with printed label inside front cover indicating this volume from the library of Prof. John S. Sewall. Prophylactic use of narrow strips of library tape at top and bottom of spine; hinges solid; slight foxing of endpapers; period pencil signature of S. P. Benson on ffep; otherwise unmarked, clean, sound copy; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall .

Returns are accepted for items that are not as described. Books may be returned for other reasons after you have contacted us with your request and we have agreed. International Delivery cannot be guaranteed--the purchaser must request and pay for insurance. All returns must be made with the book in the same condition that it was shipped and in an equivalent shiping container. We wrap all books in newsprint and mail them in cardboard mailers or Priority Mail packaging.

We handle books from academic libraries (from institutions and scholars), both deaccessions and gift books from alumni, and from closed Seminary Bookstores. Our original location was on a remote island in Maine, the Island of Frenchboro, and thus the origin of our name. For a time we operated a brick and mortar store in Bangor four days a week, and then moved that to the Antique Marketplace on Main Street in Bangor, which still caries some of our stock. The major stock of our business is now housed in Louisville, Colorado. Our listings can include a wide range of material, but the majority are non-fiction, scholarly works.
