Set in 1773, this historical novel deals with a priest, Pierre de Behaine, and two other Frenchmen who travel to Annam (present-day Vietnam) to bring hope and meaning to the Asian natives, only to find themselves in the midst of civil war, fighting warlords, floods, and famine. The book is bound in pastel green boards with dark green spines and die-stamped gilt lettering. The book measures 6 1/4 by 9 1/2 inches, and includes 319 pages. . First Edition. Hard Cover.
