Boston: L.C. Page and Company, 1897. Later edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Small 4to. [6], vii, [3], 104, [2] pp. Red cloth with gold lettering and decorations on the front board and spine; top edge gilt. Color frontispiece, several black and white in-text illustrations, and a few additional color plates. Illustrated by Frank T. Merrill. Owned by Margery Latimer, with three or so marks from the Latimers in the book. Margery Latimer was a twentieth-century feminist figure and author, from Portage, Wisconsin. A nice collection of Hawthorne's stories concerning the Thirteen Colonies. A Very Good copy with minor toning to the spine and light wear to the fore-edge of the pageblock.
