Sobre este artículo
Washington: Washington State Historical Society, 1991. First edition. Hardcover. Good/fair. Signed and inscribed by the author on the title page, "To Ellie - Best wishes as you prepare to leave for a new home - J Richard Nokes." Blue leatherette hardover with gilt titles, 1st edition, in dustjacket. A good copy, cocked mildly forward. Light wear to the board edges, spine ends bending, but corners straight. Binding and hinges are solid, and the text appears unmarked. The dustjacket is not as good with chips and short tears at the panel edges, and a longer tear at the base of the front panel spineward - worn and a bit scuffed. 352 pp., indexed, some black and white photos. Nokes, former editor of the Oregonian newspaper, tells the story of Robert Gray's journeys onboard the Lady Washington and the Columbia Rediviva, for which the river was (re)named.
