New York: A. L. Burt Company, 1913. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. Maynard DIxon. The date on the copyright page is October 1913, but there are some advertisements on the rear panel of the dust jacket for books published in 1914, 1915, and possibly 1916 (none later than that date). This Burt Company reprint is in the same format as the McClurg 1913 edition and has the four full-page color illustrated plates by Maynard Dixon, same cover decoration and stamping. Also, the very rare original dust jacket has the same Dixon illustration on the front panel as the McClurg edition jacket (unlike the later Star reprints which usually have different cover art on the jackets). The book is in fine condition with no previous owner marks or writing, tight binding, no foxing, clean. The original dust jacket has some tiny tears at the spine ends, light rubbing to the rear panel, some dulling and spotting on the spine, 1cm tear upper spine near the middle.
