The illustrations are in a decidedly retrograde, "New Masses" style, some quite effective, others somewhat crude. We find no reference to this artist in any other published work of the period. Brief ink inscription to front endpaper (non-authorial); covers lightly rubbed and soiled; small loss to paper covering at crown of spine, else just light external wear; Very Good.
